Dr. Kim is a trauma surgeon, general surgeon & critical care surgeon at Desert Surgical Associates in Las Vegas, Nevada. Academically, Dr. Kim received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn & Queens. He then earned his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn in 1997. He subsequently completed his residency at St. Vincent Medical Center in Brooklyn and Queens.  This was then followed by a fellowship at New York Medical College to advance his skills in surgical critical care. With a commitment to excellence, he is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Kim is a member of the Nevada State Medical Association and the American Medical Association. He is also affiliated with Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center, where he is an attending surgeon.

Kitae Kim, MD, FACS, is a 1997-graduate of the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn in Brooklyn, NY. His postgraduate training includes his general surgery residency served at St. Vincent Medical Center in Brooklyn and Queens (1997-2002), as well as his critical care surgery fellowship performed at New York Medical College/ Westchester County Medical Center (2002-2004). Dr. Kim attained board certification in general surgery and surgical critical care with the American Board of Surgery. Furthermore, he has been honored as Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and America’s Top Doctor.
